"In 2009, the United States exported more than $1 trillion in agricultural commodities, manufactured goods and other products to countries across the globe, representing about 7.4 percent of the nation’s Gross Domestic Product for the year. Political and industry leaders are eager to see that number rise; in fact, President Obama has set a goal of doubling U.S. exports by 2014.
But foreign trade is a tricky issue to get right, and it can take years, even decades, for free trade programs to pay off..."

No-Till On The Plains Event coming to Sidney!
No-till on the Plains, Inc. will host a summer event which will provide producers with ways to increase profitability
and gain a better understanding of the importance of soil health.
The event will be on June 30, 2010 beginning at 9:00am at the Sidney Holiday Inn and includes a catered lunch.
The afternoon portion of the event will take place at the Jim Anderson farm.
Speakers will address such topics as the benefits of continuous cropping, water infiltration, soil properties, rotations and sequencing of crops.
Come ready to learn all about continuous no-till (CNT) and the impact the practices have on soil.
